Adalastic 2000 – an elastic system for flexible insulation of emergency tanks

Sealing solution by the Adalastic 2000 system created without contacts is determined for the protection of structures, collectors and operating surfaces in halls, buildings or outside emergency tanks for oil, diesel, petrol, crude oil or chemicals. Apart from these applications this elastic insulation system may be used for all types of racking and operating surfaces.

The entire space of the emergency tank up to the wall is covered by an elastic insulation system covering the cracks of the basis with an elastic insulation membrane without contacts.

The basis must be firm, straight, clean and dry (cleaned with a high-pressure water beam). The existing cavities shall be filled with a polyurethane piecing substance, already before the application of the tightness membrane. After that we apply penetration on the pieced – aligned basis by the Adaflex BG material (in case of a wet concrete basis by Adaflex FU material) with spreading from silica sand (fractions of 0.3 mm – 0.8 mm) for perfect adhesion of the insulation membrane to the basis.

Adalastic 2000, with regards to its high reactivity, must be applied only with a special high-pressure spraying device. The applied insulation layer can be walked on within one minute as of the application on the basis. The consequently created covering layer with Adalastic 109 material serves as final surface treatment of the implemented insulation system. In order to increase the operating safety the covering layer may be conductive and connected to the existing grounding of the emergency tank. The execution of the surface treatment may be performed also with antiskid treatment on the whole or only in the required parts.

Owing to the high elasticity that it preserves also at temperatures below - 20 °C it is suitable also for the reconstruction and sealing of the dilatation joints. The system may be applied on a concrete, asphalt or steel basis.

The system may be used for the sealing of the joint of the tank and the concrete basis. Prior to application on the steel it is necessary to apply blast cleaning to the level of cleaning SA2-1/2
